In today’s fast-paced world, our eating habits often revolve around convenience, leading to an overconsumption of sugars, both hidden and obvious. It’s a sneaky component in many of our foods and can easily derail our health goals. The reality is, sugar does more than just satisfy our sweet tooth – it affects our energy levels, mood, and overall health. If you’ve found yourself trapped in the sugar cycle and are seeking ways to break free, you’re not alone. How to avoid the sugar cravings? Let’s dive in!

How to avoid the sugar cravings…..

One of the top questions I get asked. Let me tell you sugar is addicting!!! The more you eat it the more you want it. Your body gets used to the extreme serge of energy and then crashes eventually, only to repeat this viscous cycle. 

So what can you do to make a change? Build upon small habits and then attach onto one another. Don’t expect perfectionism over night, but focus on your improvements daily and celebrate your successes!! 

My go to’s:

1. Eat protein at every meal
2. Stop buying processed sugars 
3. Real labels – know what you are eating 
4. Track your tendencies 
5. Avoid added sugars 
6. Fill half of your plate with veggies 
7. Don’t keep it in the house 
8. Strength train 3x a week
9. Move your body a little everyday
10. Get Quality sleep
