Train Smarter, Not Harder: Discover the Science Behind Tracking!

We have all been there trying every new fad diet, miscellaneous workout out there promising us X, Y and Z! I mean everyone seems to be doing it, so you think – why not try it? 

One thing I learned early on in my career was the importance of data. Having the ability to analyze/track your heart rate and  metrics was the key success! This aids in not only body longevity, avoiding burnout, but also pushing too much too hard or not enough. 

We think more is always better! Well, I will be the FIRST one to tell you that that is not the case. You need to work with your body, not against it. 

This is why I train with a POLAR HEART RATE MONITOR! It teaches me when to push, when to pull back and when I need a break. I can track my sleep patterns, daily activity, steps, heart rate, mileage and so much more. 

You see your heart rate changes daily. It can vary depending on:

  1. Your sleep patterns
  2. For a woman where you are in your cycle
  3. Time of day you are training
  4. Ergogenic Aids before a workout
  5. Caffeine 
  6. Activity Level per week/recovery time
  7. If you are getting sick or your body is run down

I get you don’t have hours to spend researching, training, planning, etc. You have a demanding job, a family to raise and time is limited. You just want to SHOW UP and go! This let’s you do that!

Having a plan of action to follow is key!  You are not wondering what to do next, if you worked all of the right muscles and if what you are doing will actually work.
